BCP (Business Continuity Plan):
A plan for keeping critical business operations running during disruptions such as outages, cyber incidents, or facility issues

CMDB (Configuration Management Database):
A repository of IT assets, services, systems, and relationships used to support service management, change control, and impact analysis

DR (Disaster Recovery):
The technical recovery of systems, data, and infrastructure after a major disruption

DRP (Disaster Recovery Plan):
A documented plan for restoring technology services after a disruption, including roles, priorities, timelines, and recovery procedures

ITAM (IT Asset Management):
The lifecycle management of IT hardware, software, cloud assets, licenses, and related costs

ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library):
A widely used framework of practices for IT service management, including incident, problem, change, and service request management

ITSM (IT Service Management):
The discipline of designing, delivering, managing, and improving IT services for the organization

MSP (Managed Service Provider):
An external provider that delivers ongoing IT operations, support, infrastructure, security, or application services

MTTR (Mean Time to Resolve):
A service management metric showing the average time required to fully resolve incidents or problems

RPO (Recovery Point Objective):
The maximum acceptable amount of data loss measured in time, such as restoring data to within the last hour

RTO (Recovery Time Objective):
The maximum acceptable time to restore a system, application, or service after disruption

SLA (Service Level Agreement):
A formal agreement defining expected service performance, responsibilities, response times, and availability targets
