CAPEX (Capital Expenditure):
Technology spending treated as a long-term investment, such as major infrastructure purchases or enterprise systems

CIO (Chief Information Officer):
The senior executive responsible for enterprise technology strategy, IT operations, governance, and business technology alignment

KPI (Key Performance Indicator):
A measurable indicator used to assess performance against operational, financial, strategic, or service goals

OPEX (Operating Expenditure):
Ongoing technology spending such as subscriptions, managed services, cloud consumption, support, and staffing

RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed):
A role clarity model used to define who performs work, owns outcomes, provides input, and receives updates

RFP (Request for Proposal):
A formal document used to solicit vendor solutions, pricing, implementation approaches, and contractual terms

ROI (Return on Investment):
A financial measure comparing expected benefits or savings against the cost of a technology investment

TCO (Total Cost of Ownership):
The full cost of acquiring, implementing, operating, supporting, and eventually retiring a technology solution
